Making GIMP Brushes
You are here: Home > Visitor > Tutorials > Making GIMP Brushes
To make a brush that change color with what you choose. Make your foreground color black and the background color white. Open a new image, in the dialogue make your size and in the dialogue under advanced options…
Select Color space:Grayscale
Fill with: Background color

Make your image or paste an image. Then save it with the extension .gbr

If you save the brush in your GIMP’s brush folder you can then refresh your GIMP box and test your brush. Make sure you change the color space back to RGB when you open a new image so you can change colors.
Then you can specify the spacing and name the brush for your brush window(this name is what the program uses in the brush window, this name you can keep the same especially if you are making a brush pack. The gimp program will go boat, boat#2, boat#3, …)

I am not yet familliar with .gih(RGB hose brushes.) For more information on them click here.
